Inspired by Judy Weiser, a pioneer in the use of photography as Art Therapy, my goal for this blog is to experience the use of photography as a therapeutic tool.
As an artist, feelings are the source of my creativity. Most of my work comes from my need to exorcise my inner demons and my need to make sense of the madness that rules my mind.
I know, I must not be the only one.
Like most humans, when the need for creation is denied I turn myself in to Self-Destruction. Therefore, the right to self-expression is not owned by artists only. It is a fundamental human need.
Mostly through the use of self-portraits, the visual documentation of my daily life and the making of symbolic images, I will become a living example of photography as therapy. The aim is not to make beautiful photographs for the sake of Art, but rather to demonstrate the practice of picture-taking and image-making as a process that will lead to healing.
